ADOPT, DON’T SHOP
The photos of the dogs in this virtual book collection were taken on November 2, 2019 at the Valley Oak SPCA in Visalia, CA. This shelter has a special place in my heart because it is where I have adopted every dog I have ever had; my first dog, Scruffy (pictured above), who I had for 15 years, and my current dogs, Scout and Ranger. In total, I photographed close to 40 dogs who were all hoping to someday soon find their forever homes. The images below portray some of these dogs with illustrations of their dream futures. The people I have drawn are faceless to show that they could be anyone, even you. I hope this project inspires you to check out your local animal shelter.
